Dennis Alfred McDonald, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.

Mr. McDonald, son of James O. and Lyndel B. (Swaggerty) McDonald, was born February 7, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio. He had been a swimming pool technician.

He was married to Deborah Lynn (Sandy) McDonald on November 20, 1976, in Phoenix, Arizona, and she survives.

Also surviving are two children, Daniel McDonald and Erin McDonald, both of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one brother, Regis James (Jim) McDonald (and wife, Linda) of Doniphan, Missouri; and one sister, Betty Lynn Schmidlin (and husband, Craig) of Goodyear, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lyndel McDonald, one sister, Janice Burkholder (and her husband, Don) and one brother, Robert McDonald.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

A private family memorial service is planned.
