Dennis Lee Haney, 39, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at his residence. He had attained the age of 39 years, ten months and eleven days.
Mr. Haney, son of Duke and Ruth (Smith) Haney, was born August 17, 1972 in Alton, Missouri. He had been a night manager with the G & W Foods in Doniphan and was of the Baptist faith. Dennis graduated from Doniphan High School and attended Three Rivers Community College. He had been comatose since March 27, 1992, rsulting from an accidental fall.
Surviving are his parents, Duke and Ruth Haney of Doniphan, Missouri; two brothers and their wives, Stephen (and Carolyn) Haney and Phillip (and Amy) Haney, all of Doniphan, Missouri; one niece, Syrena Haney of Doniphan, Missouri; two uncles, Jimmy Dale Haney of Benton, Missouri, and Manuel Haney of West Plains, Missouri; one aunt, Ethiel Mossman of Dexter, Kentucky; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Aaron and Gladys Haney, his maternal grandparents, Perry and Flossie Smith and one niece, Emily Haney.
Visitation for Mr. Haney will be Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2012, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan starting at 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverends Jim Probst and Duane Probst officiating. He will be buried in the family plot at the Pine, Missouri, Cemetery.
